April 2011

  • Finish Magic
  • Separate all rules and topics into four quadrants:
    1. Core
    2. House
    3. Setting
    4. Supplementary
  • Review the entire book in 4 marathon, weekend sessions.
  • Outline goals for each quadrant as "Need", "Want", "Omit (until next version)"
  • Set concrete deadlines for Jon and Dusty's respective Setting sections.

May 2011

  • Complete edits on the book in 2 marathon editing sessions followed by 2 marathon review sessions.
  • Develop marketing angles (e.g. buy a few dozen ancient (pre-17th century) silver or gold coins on eBay for ~10-20$ a piece and offer one free with each purchase of a "Starter Kit" which would include a printed, bound rulebook, emblazoned dice bag, official set of game dice, etc. — nerds love shit like that — e.g. example from eBay
  • Develop BASIC website (basic in functionality, not written in VB :cP)

June 2011

  • Review positions in various markets, plan convention appearances thru 12/2011 (at LEAST 3)
  • Work out relationships with local game shops (I have two connections in NJ and one in NY I can leverage) to get orders onto shelves, free shelf space, and/or permission to run in-store events for Elysium.
  • Histories and other Setting details up on the Otherworld and (Jon what's the haps on the latest name for your setting) community pages
  • Playtest with players using the online system (short campaign; 4-5 sessions)

July 2011

  • Launch party
