The mage hurls a visible ripple of sound towards an area. When arriving at destination, this sound wave explodes violently outward like an actual shock wave. Any creature within this area must make a Spell Defense roll. The area covered by the spell is 10 feet in radius per level. All creatures in this area who fail their save are also deafened until the end of the encounter.
