Your sense of smell is greatly handicapped. While the root cause is probably a neurological problem, it could also be a minor curse. Hyposmia. Hyposmia is a lessened sense of smell. You probably won't smell minor odors and it will take you longer to perceive stronger odors. You take a −2 when Searching to locate the source of a smell. To a small extent, your sense of taste is hindered and food just isn't as flavorful. Parosmia. Parosmia is the incorrect interpretation of odors and flavors. You perceive most odors as reminiscent of burning flesh, fish, vomit, or garbage. Sometimes particularly flavorful food will taste the same as it smells—terrible. Phantosmia. Phantosmia causes you to perceive odors that aren't there. You often, inexplicably, smell mystery odors reminiscent of burning flesh, fish, vomit, or garbage.

• Hyposmia is incompatible with Bloodhound and an Acute Sense of smell. Parosmia and Phantosmia are compatible with either of these; you smell the wrong odor well!
