Egund is the easternmost nation of Gaeis, bordering Triadus and the forest of Qaeld to the west, and Halvmir to the north. It is a land of rolling fields and lush farms. It is convincingly one of the most fertile areas for agriculture in an already fertile world.
History
Egund is ruled by the Amber Seat, located in the city of Threshold. The Amber Seat rules a unique form of Timocracy where the lords of Egund are granted further or less lands to work based on the results of the previous year's harvest. The more produce each lord can provide the land, the more lands he is awarded. The King awards lordships, military assistance, and additional lands to those landowners who generate the most produce. Those lords in turn are allowed to divvy their lands among vassals who best serve their needs, to work their fields and tend their animals.
