The Empyrean System is a Rules System for use in the Elysium Roleplaying Game. The system uses ten-sided dice as the random variable in the game mechanics.

The system itself is broken into thirds: one third of a roll is based on potential, one third on skill, and one third on chance.

It is the completely unique and original brainchild of Jon Hawk, Dustin Blottenberger, and James Kracker. Their motivation was to invent an entertaining and realistic set of rules that would be a welcome break from other, more static Roleplaying Game Systems.
