The Dark Mage wracks the target with intolerable pain from which he/she cannot escape. The damage done in this manner will heal itself as soon as the Dark Mage stops spending Mana, but if enough damage is done to render a target unconscious/dead, the character will immediately drop unconscious until a heal check can be performed. For every point of success, the target loses one temporary Health Point.

Intensity Effects

  1. Target suffers -2 to attack, defense, and skill check rolls
  2. Target suffers -3 to rolls noted above
  3. Target may only defend themselves, and at -3 penalty
  4. Target may do nothing but writhe helplessly on the ground until the spell ends
  5. Target screams in utter agony, drops unconscious, and suffers a mental illness as result of the trauma
