The mage makes a call to Mr. Sandman to escort the target to the land of nod. Creatures targeted by this spell simply fall into peaceful sleep. Creatures capable of standing and sleeping (horses, centaurs, etc.) fall asleep where they stand, but for the most part, the target will fall down, releasing anything carried. Creatures who do not require sleep are immune to this spell (except at higher levels). Sleep is nullified by Disenchant. (This is the same spell as Lullaby. You only need to learn this spell once, but you can use your ranks in Sound or Status, whichever is higher.)

Intensity Effects

  1. Creatures sleep peacefully and can be woken up as normal (3 action points to awaken)
  2. Creatures are in a deep slumber and require persistent attention to awaken. (6 action points to awaken)
  3. Creatures require loss of Health Points to awaken
  4. Creatures that do not require sleep are 25% likely to be knocked unconscious
  5. Creatures that do not require sleep are no longer immune to this spell
