Landscape
The city of Kadwal is surrounded by an immense wall, from whence the city gets its name. The Wall runs around the perimeter of the city and environs and is manned continuously against invasion.
History
When Prias the Firstborn came to Gaeis, he sought to protect his people, and so dreamed of an enormous wall erected to keep invaders out. Centuries later, The Wall was completed, and not even Prias could have envisioned the sheer enormity of the thing. Soon thereafter, more walls were built around individual forts and cities, further fortifying them... and isolating them.
The Kadwallers have survived assaults from the Cydonyans, Sidhe, Tenebran Entropist factions, and the nearby Triadan Civil War. According to the Kadwallers, they aren't going anywhere soon.
