Appearance

Aesher is a man in his fifties who has not weathered well. There are still vestiges of the proud, handsome young man he once was, but they are underneath a heavy layer of woe and worry. His once golden hair has faded to grey and white, and a heavy beard covers his square chin. His shoulders are slumped with defeat

Personality

Aesher drinks more than is healthy for him or any man. His regular abuse makes him either belligerent, incoherent, or just plain intolerable, depending on mood.

Background

Aesher was one of the original Band of the Spire. After the downfall of Marn, Aesher was betrayed by his surviving companions and left drugged and naked in a field. Kharza DelArmgo left a note for Aesher indicating that Aesher's companions had been abducted and were being held for ransom by some of Marn's subordinates. The unwitting Aesher then took upon himself a great quest to secure items of great power for the ransom. When he was done, the ransom was paid, and the treachery unveiled. Humiliated, psychologically destroyed by betrayal, and weary, Aesher collapsed near Moon and has lost all sense of his former glory. When word reached him of the events twenty years ago in Spire, when The Scar first appeared in the sky, and the demise of his former companions, Aesher showed no emotion.
