The Dark Mage takes a piece of his sick little mind and implants it in an unwitting victim, causing that person to seek violence to others. The spell's effects will last for a day for every point of success.

Intensity Effects

  1. Target will afterwards become curious and intrigued by suffering and pain. (-1 permanent Psyche)
  2. Target takes an increased interest in all things harmful. The character is likely to favor weapons which cause the most pain, such as scourges and barbed weapons, and will start to read and delight in stories of torture and abuse. (-2 permanent Psyche).
  3. Target receives a +5 bonus to any damage they inflict, but will thereafter refuse to heal or tend to others, even if they are friends (-3 permanent Psyche).
  4. Target acts as in Levels 1 through 3, plus will begin showing signs of serious dementia, such as seizing any opportunity to torture bugs and small animals, and will insist on gruesomely torturing any captives (for information, of course…) (-4 permanent Psyche).
  5. Target will constantly try to commit the most bizarre and depraved acts of torture and sadism possible, even against sleeping comrades. The target must make a Self Control check every day to see whether he/she can keep the urges in check. (-5 Psyche).
