Some call it the Otherworld, and many call it home. Jaeis is the name of the planet which is the Otherworld.
Perhaps the thing that sets Jaeis apart from most planets that we might identify is that Jaeis is sentient. Jaeis is not a name given to the planet by a philosopher or astronomer, it is the name chosen by the planet herself.
Yes, the planet is a she.
Because the planet has a "mind," certain strange phenomenon can be explained as effects of the planet's will.
