This rule needs to become a Ritual! Give it some story flavor text and some mechanics. |
This rule just plain sucks. It needs a complete overhaul in order to be useful. We don't want to deprecate it, so get cracking on a revision, slacker! |

The mage calls upon the powers of the cosmos to halt time and allow him or her to move about freely. The time stop gives you one round per two ranks in the school to do whatever you wish. If you enter a Spell Ward, the Time Stop ends abruptly.
Intensity Effects
- The world seems gray and blurry. People seem as shadows. You can move about freely for the duration of the spell, but any additional spells you attempt to cast fizzle out.
- The world still seems gray and blurry. You can move as you wish, as well as cast spells on yourself, or cast summoning and portation spells, and grab objects out of the air.
- Your surroundings have color and are a little fuzzy. Your allies are crystal clear and you can cast assistive spells on them as normal.
- As above, but your foes seem to flicker in and out. You can attempt to attack or cast spells on them, with a 75% miss chance.
- Everything is crystal clear. Objects hang freely the air. You can attack and cast offensive spells on your foes as normal. You can wrestle objects from their hands as a normal Grasp check. Your foes are caught wide-eyed for the purposes of the time stop.
