Sleep is cast on an area, and any vulnerable creatures within must save or pass out. A target creature must fit entirely in the area of effect (e.g. you're not gonna fit an elephant into that 5′ circle, friend). Any creature immune to the ''unconscious'' condition can't be sedated by this spell.
