If cast on a creature, that creature makes no sound at all, and automatically succeeds any Sneak checks. Any objects the target holds make no sound (for example, setting a glass on a table, playing a lute, etc.). If an object the person is using leaves his or her grasp, the object resumes any sounds it would make. If Sound Ward is cast on an area, anything that would normally cause sound in that area does not. A Sound Ward covers an area of a 15 foot diameter. As soon as people or objects leave a Sound Warded area, they resume making sounds.
Intensity Effects
- Mundane sounds are suppressed, but extremely loud noises (gunfire, etc.) sound normal
- Loud noises are only muffled greatly.
- Very loud noises are negated completely
- Magical noises (including Sound spells) are only muffled
- Magical noises are negated
