The pains and trials of others are of no matter to you, and pleas are lost on your deaf ears. Others who would attempt to persuade you to back down, relent, or grant mercy take a −3 penalty. Additionally, you will not care if something bad happens to your comrades and will not help others for compassion or mercy's sake. "Them's the breaks." A Fate point must be spent to overcome this aversion to sympathy. It's not that you are without virtue. You simply don't have the capacity for engaging everyone's needs.
