Landscape
Threshold is located in a land of rolling fields and lush farms. It is convincingly one of the most fertile areas for agriculture in an already fertile world.
History
Threshold and the Outlands are ruled by the Ivory Seat. The Seat rules a unique form of Timocracy where the lords of Threshold are granted further or less lands to work based on the results of the previous year's harvest. The more produce each lord can provide the land, the more lands he is awarded, up to just under a majority hold. The King awards lordships, military assistance, and additional lands to those landowners who generate the most produce. Those lords in turn are allowed to divvy their lands among vassals who best serve their needs, to work their fields and tend their animals.
