This rule just plain sucks. It needs a complete overhaul in order to be useful. We don't want to deprecate it, so get cracking on a revision, slacker! |

The mage holds his or her hand aloft and shoots forth a jet of water. The mage makes a spell roll opposed by a target's save. If hit, the target is immediately knocked back 5 feet per level of Intensity for each round the hose is focused on that particular target. The target must also succeed at a Gymnastics roll against the mage's spell roll, each round spent in the jet of water or be knocked prone. The power of the jet is determined by the Intensity. Each round the jet may be focused on a new target within distance or at the old one. The hose automatically extinguishes fire on any creature or in any space it touches.
Intensity Effects
- A spray of water, dealing 5 impact damage
- A larger spray of water, dealing 10 impact damage
- An arm-sized jet of water, dealing 15 impact damage
- A jet 12 inches in diameter, dealing 20 impact damage
- A spray of water as big around as a shield, dealing 25 impact damage
