Creating things
Currently, we have no rules in the skill chapter about creating things. Two examples of things players might want to create:
- Works of art (which requires talent or creativity in addition to experience, IMHO)
- Armor, weapons, ammunition
I'm not sure that a straight Lore role is acceptable here. A book-smart guy can't make a masterpiece painting without a little creativity or talent.
I can see that Lore is applicable for things that don't require talent, such as tying knots. Not sure what to do here. ―Double Compile 12:07, 11 February 2012 (EST)
Per conversation w/ Jon on 19-Feb, scale the creation of works of art and other objects similarly to the Difficulty Level; d10 + ranks in relevant school must be greater than 15 to create an object of any quality.
