A precaution taken by many spell casters, Damage Ward was created to drink up incoming non-magical physical damage. The recipient of a Damage Ward gains a certain amount of Damage Absorption (See the Damage Absorption description for further details). The DA granted by this spell does is not cumulative with any other DA. That is, if the target already has 10 DA in effect, and the spell grants 5 DA, the target still only has 10 DA active.
