This rule just plain sucks. It needs a complete overhaul in order to be useful. We don't want to deprecate it, so get cracking on a revision, slacker! |

The fingers of decay wrap themselves around an object, rotting it, rusting it or ruining it. An iron door, a gold crown, a steel sword, a wooden table, a leather pack, unspoiled food: all of these can be affected with this spell.
Intensity Effects
- The mage must resort to touching the desired object
- The spell surrounds on of the mage’s weapons
- The spell manifests as a ray
- An Aura of Ruination surrounds the mage. The first item making contact with the mage is ruined.
- The spell may be cast to affect an area of 10 feet square.
