Landscape
Halvmir is home to the world's tallest mountain range. As one can expect, the whole of Halvmir is mountains, caves, fissures, chasms, and subterranean expanses.
History
Stone Falls was once a prospering and beautiful city. Its arches spanned the falls which tumbled down the mountainside and through the city. The canals, pools and springs which fed the city were crisp and clear. The city was known as the Opal of the Mountains, for the white stone with which it was made, which is so different from the slate grey of the mountain rock.
Now, Stone Falls is abandoned, eerily quiet, though the arches are still intact and the pools are nearly as beautiful. The fate that befell its people befell nearly all the other cities of Halvmir as well. It is a fate that no one talks of. Indeed, for few are alive who know the truth of it. Perhaps the Trowls have some answer for the disappearance of the people of Stone Falls, but they are secluded in their caves and take no part in human affairs in the area now. The surviving people of Stone Falls, few as they are and hidden in other cities, are hunted by something unknown.
