The mage calls upon the spirit of fire or ice to amplify or reduce the heat of an object. Direct or melee contact with the object causes fire/cold damage, respectively. The size of the object is dependent on the spell level. If a creature is being affected adversely by a hot object already, the mage can reduce the damage dealt by the listed amount instead by sucking the heat from the object.
Intensity Effects
- Something the size of a biscuit gives off steam. Great for heating up dinner.
- Something the size of a cat simmers.
- Something the size of a human body becomes hot enough for bad burns. 5 damage.
- Something 100 cubic feet in volume, boils. 10 damage.
- An immense object, like a bridge, or the deck of a boat. 20 damage.
