This rule just plain sucks. It needs a complete overhaul in order to be useful. We don't want to deprecate it, so get cracking on a revision, slacker! |

The mage causes a target to turn into a solid object. For the target, this process seems as falling asleep and waking up (if cured). The extent of the spell is dependent on the Intensity. When the target awakes, any pieces that were destroyed are similarly damaged. Any person that takes their HP in damage while petrified is dead.
Intensity Effects
- The mage turns the target into a statue made of strange stone. This stone cannot be affected by any means. The target awakes in one hour per rank in the school.
- As Intensity 1, but the target awakes in one day per rank in the school.
- As Intensity 2, but the target awakes in one month per rank in the school.
- As Intensity 3, but the effect is permanent, and the stone can be affected by non-magical means (smashing, weathering).
- As Intensity 4, but the stone can be affected magically.
