Possibilities for different rolls
- We could use a custom "Spirit Arts Attribute" similar to the Casting Attribute, plus one of the 12 elemental skills (each Spirit Art would then need to be associated with an element)
- At this point, these Spirit Arts might as well be magic spells. Plus, we have to come up with benefits of each attribute
- We could use a different Attribute depending on the target (e.g. Self-Control for things targeting yourself, Presence for Arts with a burst radius)
- Doesn't give me warm fuzzies, but it may work. Then we just have to figure out what to use for the skill
- We could use Self-Control for everything as it's your own spirit that's influencing the ki in other creatures and the environment.
- Seems rigid, plus I can see the argument for using different attributes. Not all competent spirit arts wielders have high Self-Control, but many do.
- We could add a thirteenth element: "Spirit", which would give us a skill to use.
- That means all Spirit Arts are associated with one skill. Not my favorite.
- We could add skills for different kinds of Spirit Arts, grouped by target or by essence
- This would need a lot of brainstorming.
