I feel that Perform is the general skill of performing in front of others, entertaining an audience, selling a character performance, having a stage presence, etc., whereas playing the violin/piano/w/e is a skill specific to an Occupation (e.g. Violinist, or, for a more watered down skill spread across many instruments "Musician"). ―Kozak 15:03, 19 February 2012 (EST)
