The mage makes the mouth of a target gluey and tough to open. Naturally, any speaking takes a penalty. The severity of the penalty is dependent on the Intensity. Mages that can cast spells without speaking can ignore the spellcasting penalty.

- -6 to spellcasting and social rolls involving speech
- -8 to spellcasting and social rolls involving speech
