Jaeis

Some call it the Otherworld, and many call it home. Jaeis is the name of the planet which is the Otherworld.

Perhaps the thing that sets Jaeis apart from most planets that we might identify is that Jaeis is sentient. Jaeis is not a name given to the planet by a philosopher or astronomer, it is the name chosen by the planet herself.

Yes, the planet is a she.

Because the planet has a "mind," certain strange phenomenon can be explained as effects of the planet's will. Sometimes things really are just flukes, but other times Jaeis can set events into motion which fall out more or less according to her intentions. While Jaeis is sentient, she is by no means a goddess. She has little immediate, fast acting power on the creatures which thrive on her, but serious long-term power.

Life on Jaeis is possessed of extreme vitality. The verdant energies coming from the planet appear accelerated when compared to those of our own world. Things grow and heal much faster there. The planet seems intent on an abundance of growth. Jaeis wants to live.

Jaeis circles a sun and has two moons, known as The Twins.
