The mage calls upon the power of metal to amplify or reduce the heat of a metallic object. Direct contact with the object causes fire or cold damage, respectively (which can be reduced by Endurance, Armor, and Magic Defense). The size of the object is dependent on the spell level. If a creature is being affected adversely by a hot object already, the mage can reduce the damage dealt by the listed amount instead by sucking the heat from the object.
Intensity Effects
- Something the size of a biscuit gives off steam or is cool to the touch. Great for heating up a frying pan.
- Something the size of a loaf of bread simmers or frosts. 5 damage.
- Something the size of a suit of armor ices over or becomes hot enough for bad burns. 10 damage.
- Something 100 cubic feet in volume boils or drops to below freezing. 15 damage.
- An immense object, like an iron bridge, or an airplane turns red hot or becomes searing cold. 20 damage.
