This rule simply needs tweaking. It may be almost perfect, or it may need a bit of work. It's half-way in between sexy and in need of overhaul. Leave any ideas on the Talk page, please! |

The most commonly used line in movies is "Let's get out of here!" Sometimes a party needs to get out of somewhere--and fast. The mage may with this spell turn an ordinary doorway, window, crawlspace, or hole into a portal to another location. The destination is determined by the spell level. The portal remains active until after the mage has stepped through, at which point it closes. All portals require a key item; in this instance the mage himself is the key. If the mage doesn't immediately enter the portal, it remains active for one minute per school rank.
Intensity Effects
- The portal exits exactly where the mage intends up to 1 mile away.
- The portal exits exactly where the mage intends up to 10 miles away.
- The portal exits exactly where the mage intends up to 100 miles away.
- The portal exits exactly where the mage intends up to 500 miles away.
- The portal exits exactly where the mage intends up to 1,000 miles away.
