As whimsical and moody as the wind itself, the Vayu float high above the human cities, searching out the perfection of the Arts, descending from their cloudy kingdoms only to grace the lower world with their beautiful paintings, flawless architectural plans, and heart wrenching dramas.
Appearance
The Vayu look like noseless, flat faced humans, their heads, arms and legs wreathed in feathers. They dress in simple tunics, togas, and gorgeously made gold, silver and bronze ornaments. They are a showy race, but prefer simple stylings to contrast what they believe is their ultimate beauty.
Personality
The Vayu are a vain, flighty, and artistically inclined race. They hold the Arts above all else, and the ugly they condemn with impunity. They consider themselves the most beautiful race, but become awestruck by truly stunning members of other races. Many of their cloud constructed, Romanesque buildings or items are not practical, but instead are just nice to look at. And they could look at them all day.
Habitat
The Vayu construct floating, migrating kingdoms for themselves in the sky, stepping lightly on wisps of cloud and molding it for their purposes. The float around the world, content to perform for themselves or others, and making a big show of it in any case.
Society
A Vayu that does not impress others with it’s Art is not a Vayu at all, but a failure. Whether it be painting, architecture and engineering, acting, dancing, singing, music, literature, or discussion of the arts and criticism, a Vayu must occupy a space in the Art world.
Adventures
Vayu would do anything in the name of the Arts, so it wouldn’t be hard to think of all sorts of excuses for them to get out and adventure: to glimpse and capture the beauty of the sunset over the far seas, to immortalize a party of adventurers in a bardic ballad, or to give the perfect death speech after quaffing (accidentally?) a jar of poison.
The Vayan cloud cities float from one nation to another in the sky, but the Vayu who have chosen to "walk wingless" commonly settle in Triadus, Daerod, Egund, Azaza, and Solosa.
Donya is an especially dangerous nation for Vayu with colorful plumage.

Powers
- Cloud Step: When trotting on cloud, Vayu need never worry of plummeting, for they are naturally buoyant on cloud.
- Cloud Shape: A Vayu can mould or shape a mass of cloud into a hard, solid object. The DL and length to create depends on the complexity of the item made. Thing with moving parts are incapable of being made in this fashion. Objects made with Cloud Shape are existent for a limited time, which is determined by the level of success over the DL (where one point of success equals a minute of existence).
