Krendar the Defender is an Immortal of good summoned by Alnarya for protection. He presides over strength, virtue, and protection. He is associated with mining since he carved the evengar from stone.

Symbol

Krendar's symbol is a sword with feathery wings protruding from the hilt. It is sometimes seen on the shields of soldiers, or as a necklace given to wives of men going to battle.

He is associated with the eagle, a beast of glory and freedom. He is also associated with the elemental force of earth, due to his strength and patience.

Description

Tales of Krendar depict him as a broad, muscular man. Even the Evengar depict him as such. He wears an ornate armor which some stories suggest is made of solid granite. He carries a shining clear broadsword made entirely of diamond, and a shield bearing his symbol.

Personality

Krendar is stern but merciful and always ready for battle against evil. He encourages defending the weak, and friendly contests of skill. He has a hearty laugh and a broad smile. He is unequaled in fighting skill and delights in driving evil away from the righteous.
