Bendash the Brave is the Immortal of good dragons. He is also associated with courage, justice, and loyalty. He holds sway over the forces of thunderstorms.

Family Ties

Bendash is the twin brother of Deniss. Their parents are Ruidrin and Inashayle.

Symbol

The Dragoon Knights, who have adopted Bendash's fighting style described in legend, also bear his symbol: a regal-looking dragon in flight with wings spread and tail extended.

He is associated with the lion, a beast of bravery and stateliness. He is also associated with the elemental force of electricity, due to his fighting style of legend.

Works

Together with Deniss, Bendash is attributed with the creation of the race of dragons. All dragons of good disposition revere him, and it is said that more than one very old dragon claims to have fought alongside him.

Description

Bendash is traditionally held as a handsome man with dragon-like features. Among them include dragon's eyes, fangs, and long, reptilian wings clasped at the claw and worn like a cape. He also is said to have black hair, the length of which is often disputed. He is either depicted in mail made from dragon scales or simple robes, but always wearing red. He is also said to wield a shining glaive and strikes with it in hand, falling like lightning from the sky.

Personality

Stories relay his jovial disposition and confident nature. He is fearless and trustworthy. He encourages others to honor their friends and family, uphold their promises, and abstain from doubt and fear. He is fair and wise, and as such, the courts revere him as the master of justice. He is angered by betrayal and disapproving of cowardice. It is held that he can summon or banish violent thunderstorms according to his will.
