Magic Song

Your song voice itself can shape and manipulate the flows of magic. Calculate your Mana score using Presence instead of Intellect. You can cast certain types of spells as songs. Any spell that falls into the status, charm, illusion, perception, or sound schools can be cast as a song. To cast a song, roll a Performance Check. Just as with arcane magic, singing a magic song costs 1 point of Mana per level of the song (up to 5). Your targets must be able to hear you (deaf targets are immune – hearing impaired targets have a 50% immunity chance). Likewise, undead, plants, and other creatures with no mental activity or means of hearing are immune to the effects unless the spell is specifically targeted to that type of creature. Magic Minstrels are incapable of casting spells normally. Note that you must still use Experience Points to gain access to spells to perform.
